Stacy is the adopted daughter of Vickie. She was born with disabilities, including intractable epilepsy. However, she is a joy and playful and knows no strangers. To know her is to love her.
Vickie Louise (Grigsby)
I am the first daughter of 3, I was adopted and loved by my parents. I was a hairdresser, and later a RN in the NICU. Lived in Evansville, Ft. Smith, Miami, Los Angeles, Asheville, and Wilmington. At this time (2021) I am retired and living through Covid-19.
Dad was steady like a rock. He transferred to AR for work at General Tire and Rubber Co. Loved to fish and sleep in his recliner. A good man, Served in WWII.
My mother. She went through nursing school in her 40's, loved her profession. Mother to Vickie (me), Ruth, and Julie. Wife to William R. She and Dad died in a boating accident on Lake Tenkiller.
Oma was my Grandmother. She lived until 1972, died of stoke and heart attack. She was kind, and funny. She lived all the years I knew her with her daughter Kathleen.
Fred Stewart was my Grandfather, but died before I was born. I know he had been a butcher, by profession and died around age 42 of a heart attack.
