Juanita Maxwell died at age 34 years old on July 3, 1935 at St. Joseph Hospital, Aberdeen, WA, and was buried on July 3, 1935 at Aberdeen Cemetery Association- Fern Hill Cemetery 2212 Roosevelt St, in Aberdeen, Grays Harbor County, WA.

Juanita attended school in Plainville until the age of 11, when her mother decided to move to Portland, Oregon to open a millinery shop, taking Juanita with her. When the millinery shop closed in January of 1912, Juanita and her mother moved to Hoquiam, Washington.
