Edward Thomas Taylor

Edward Thomas Taylor, born 1858 in Illinois. After high school in Kansas, he moved to Colorado and became principal of Leadville High School for two years. He then attended law school, passed the bar, and became a lawyer.

After serving as a Colorado state senator, he was elected to the U.S. Senate in 1908 and served until his death in 1941. Quite a self-starter!
