James B. Carroll aka James Carroll Jr. served Virginia in the Civil War in Company B., 1st Regiment Volunteer Infantry, from Oct 29, 1861 until he was discharged due to a disability on June 30, 1862. He and his wife Sarah Reed had 11 children: Rev. Wm R., Mary Ann, Nancy, Alfred aka Alpheus, Solomon H., Amanda J., Martha M. aka Mattie, Eliza J., Charles M., Melvina and Louise.

Is there a Lucille Carroll or WalterCarroll from Va born 1912-1916 in yor family
Nope. I’ve had problems identifying my Carroll relations. Been stuck on Raford Carroll b. 1808 in NC for as long as you’ve been stuck on your mom.
