Melvin Rice and wife 1940's

The inscription reads "Melvin Rice and wife". I know the groomsman is Fred Wahl. Judging from the uniforms and age of my father, Fred, I think the year was probably the early 1940s.
Not known are the names of the bride and maid of honor, or where the wedding took place.
