In the middle row, second from the viewer's left in a dark dress, is Nancy Claudia Price (later married Smith), my maternal grandmother. Seated to the viewer's far right, in a white or light-colored dress, is Elizabeth "Lizzie" Anne Payne. This was a boarding house group in Huntsville, Texas, about 1895. I believe that the older couple are probably owners of the house and that the young ladies are students at Sam Houston Normal Institute.
