Shown is Ralph Edwin Vallis (1925-2009), son of Walter Alfred Vallis (1899-1975) and Mary Elva Ross Vallis (1903-1976).

A WWII Veteran and Honoree, Ralph
served in the U.S. Navy from March 31, 1943 to February 27, 1946.
Naval Training Stations: Farragut, Idaho and
Newport, Rhode Island. Ralph served aboard the LYNX and the USS SPRINGFIELD. Ralph received the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Ribbon with 2 Stars, American Theatre Ribbon, WWII Victory Medal, and the Philippine Liberation Medal.

Date & Place: 1942 in Lincoln, Lancaster, Nebraska United States

Buckinghamshire connections include the areas of Winslow, Swanbourne, Stewkley, Wing and Leighton Buzzard. *** U.S. family roots include ROSS and ROMAINE families from New York who went westward to settle in Kansas and Missouri. ***German Russian family roots include BOHL, KAHLER, HUCK, SPREIER, SCHULDEIS, SCHULTHEIS, FEUERSTEIN,GAS, JAEGER, EIKMEIER surnames.
