Roland moved to Tasmania as a child with his father, Abraham Wickham Horsham the 3rd...after his mother passed away...Hanah Weatherill Horsham...Roland was an only child of his fathers 1st marriage, Roly (as he was fondly called) by family @ friends...married Jeannie Younie in Ulverstone in 1915 at the Presbyterian church, they had 3 children...Roland James (jimmy) 29/3/1916 to 1986...Jean 27/2/1920 to 1997......and Nancy 18/9/1923 to 2010....when Jeanies father died he left the young family land on forth road Ulverstone.. , He was (James Younie)...Where Roly had a home built in 1923..it later became Horsham Street East Ulverstone number 6 Roly and Jane (as Nana was fondly called) lived a quiet life at 6 Horsham street, concentrating on vegetable growing, Nana knitted crochetd and did craft work...both were very family orientated......Helping out when ever possible in the Ulverstone community , for family's less fortunate than themselves especially in the depression years after the 2nd world war, They are still fondly remembered in the Ulverstone community to this day......Kevin James Bakes (Horsham) grandson...2015...
