WW2 Bomber Seats
Irene Stewart and her husband moved to Bantam, Connecticut to work in the upholstery shop of the Warren McArthur plant, making seats for bombers in WW2. Irene learned upholstery in Buffalo, New York under her husband, who supervised an upholstery shop in Buffalo. In 1941 they moved to Connecticut to work for the plant because her husband is from London and wanted to help with the war effort.
