Here is my wonderful Great Grand parents. They were GREAT! Granny made the best tea and Pappy grew the biggest strawberries along with his bee hive and chicken incubating. They had a lot of love for the grandkids! Anyone with Genealogy info on Herschel Valentine Goins b.Feb 9 1890 d.June 30 1965 Herschels mother was Isabelle Sowers/Saurs. This is a 1910 wedding picture with Pappy Herschel Valentine Goins (front row left) and Lucy Ann (Howard)Goins his sweet bride we called Granny to his right. I was told these are their siblings all around them. They lived close to the Kentucky river in Valley view long branch area up in the holler with other kin folk and farmed and raised chickens. Herschel also was a hemp farmer during WWII.His brothers names were Bucky,Clarence,Albert,Emmett,Calvin and sisters were Alma,Emma and Grace.
