2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!
"Granny Bell" was one of a kind. Very loving but strict and quick to corrrect you. She spoke with a gravely voice and a typical Southern Appachian accent. In llife, she was a "collar counter'' for The Arrow Shirt Company in Bremem, Ga until her retirement. She was also a a workers union member and a devout "Southern Democrat". She truly enjoyed having all the time she could, especialy her "gran'yung'uns" After the untimely death of her son-in-law, Harley Ray McClure, whom was also her nighbor, Mrs Bell and her husband,, Alvin Elijah (Murdock or Doc) Bell, went to be with The Lord in 1986 and his family moved away, The Bells decided to move as well to Tallapooa, GA. Their estate remains in the family. She has three children, Brenda Bell Brooks, Juanita Bell Entrekin Chandler and Judy Bell McClure Wilburn, as well as, several grandchildren. Her husband at death was Alvin "Murdock" Bell.
