This tintype is not in good shape. Please note that John (who went by "Enos") is holding his pet rat in his left hand while his dog looks on. I'm not aware of any other photos of these two people. John served in the 58th Regiment of the Indiana Infantry Volunteers during the Civil War. He and his family lived in New Market, Clark County, IN. He is not associated with the Mormon Church.

Sandy Jacques My maternal great-aunt, Goldie Whittinghill, married a Paul Cleveland with the nickname of Doc. They had one son Aubrey Cleveland. They were originally from southern Indiana, Clarke County. Could Paul Cleveland be in your family? He died in the 1940s and Goldie went on to marry John Meeks and lived in Elwood, Indiana.
