Delmer was the son of Francis Lee Yoakum and Orah Francis/Parnham. He was a famous painter. He had a son Robert D. Yoakum, who also became a famous sculptor. Del later married Barbara Peck, after divorcing Mary Koup/Gilliland/Haynes. He was a wonderful man, went regularly to church, and gave his painting for charity.
