People named Albert Douey

Albert was my great uncle- brother of my grandmother, It was aMabel. He served in the 36th Ulster Division in Flanders. Two brothers and his father also served. He had a wife and family. He moved to New York and worked in a bank but was also an opera singer. He later spent several months every year in Belfast- staying with his younger sister Florence (Florrie) in the house in which he was born. He died in Belfast.

Albert was my Grandmother's brother. He moved to New York between the wars - having served in WW1 with his father and brothers. He visited Belfast frequently and came to my home on Friday nights. My Dad played the piano while Albert sang.
