Alton Rachall Mar 23, 1923 - Aug 6, 1962 United States

Alton Rachall (also spelled Rachell) was married to Lucille Rachall and they had children David, Ricky, Brenda, Kathy and Debbie. He also had two brothers, Alvin Rachell of Monroe and Rayford Rachell of Fort Worth, Texas. He died during an accident working on the freeway and this is documented in a 1962 newspaper article below on this page. According to Alton's World War 2 Draft Registration card he was 18 living in Coushatta Red River Louisiana when he registered on September 16, 1941. He listed his employment as being a farmer and is described as weighing 130 lbs, 5' 6" tall, having a 'sallow' complexion, brown eyes and black hair and he lists his mother Lilli Rachall as someone who would always know where he was living. Approximately 2 months later on November 14th 1941 Alton enlisted in the infantry at Camp Wheeler Georgia.
