Anthony “Tony” Nicola Quatraro was born on October 13, 1926 in Cook County, IL USA to parents Nicola A Quatraro (1898-1968) and Theresa Passeretti (1905-1992). He had two brothers including Frank John Quatraro (1926-2007). He attended Marshall High School (Chicago, Illinois, USA) and was involved in ROTC, the fire gaurd, NCO Club President and a hall guard. Anthony enlisted in the Army on March 22, 1945, at Fort Sheridan, Illinois. During his military service, Anthony held the rank of Private and served with dedication as part of the Air Corps. He helped in his parents' tire and grocery stores from a young age, worked at an Electric Appliance Factory in his early 20's, and also worked for Motorola and GE before founding his own successful business, DeVille Tire. He married Gloria Eleanor Cortina (1927–1987) on February 5, 1945 in Arkansas, United States. The couple had a daughter together, Diann T Quatraro (1946-1967).
Anthonio Quatraro was born on October 9, 1920 in Niagra Falls, New York to parents Ralph Verna Quatraro (1910-1960) and Josephine M Quatraro (1902-). He grew up in a large family with siblings including Louis, Selino, Mary, and Elaine Quatraro in Brooklyn, Kings, New York, USA. At the age of 21, he registered for the draft on February 16, 1942, in Brooklyn, Kings, New York. During that time, he was employed at Robins Drydock located on Beard & Dwight Streets. Anthony then enlisted in the United States Army on February 25, 1943, in New York City, New York. He joined the Branch Immaterial - Warrant Officers of the Army as a Private in the Selectees (Enlisted Men) category. On March 4, 1943, Anthony officially began his military service. He served diligently until his honorable discharge on December 6, 1945. His time in the Army, dedicated to the defense of his country, spanned over two years and nine months.
