Forrest James Votaw II is the son of Forest James Votaw I (1893-1962) and Christina Alvira Welch (born 1894). He was born on May 3, 1914 and was a twin to Marion Votaw who died as an infant (1914-1915). On August 5, 1933 he married Dorothy L Chere (born 1917) in Indiana, USA. The couple lived in Chicago, Cook, Illinois and had a son, Forrest James Votaw III (1924-1983). Forrest joined the US military on November 2, 1945 and worked as a trucker for the Chicago and North Western Railroad.
