Howard Dale Dishong of San Diego, San Diego County, CA was born on January 31, 1910, and died at age 75 years old on May 30, 1985. Howard Dishong was buried at Riverside National Cemetery

Howard was a proud veteran of the US Submarine Force in WWII. He served aboard the USS Cod and was involved in its upkeep as a museum in the 1970s and 1980s until his death. He wrote a book on his wartime experiences called; 24 Torpedoes and 13 Buttons. His nickname was “Doggy”.
