John W duchnik jr was my father he was a happy guy most of the time he had his demons but for the most part you can count on him for a laugh he was always joking around,dancing and goofing off! He likes to hang out with his friends and have a few drinks, he liked motorcycles and being out in the middle of nowhere and just puttering around the yard.Daddy loved animals he was always bringing home animals as a kid. My parents were on again off again until his death but divorced when I was two back in the early 80s. He was a “ ladies man” and proud of it he was a bigger guy but he had a charm he could make you smile and laugh at any and all times! That was dad … he enjoyed cooking meals,fishing and hunting. He made his own applesauce for holidays and even built a ramp for his latest long term girlfriend Alison when she was diagnosed with a disease that left her in a state it was hard to walk. He had many regrets he had many affairs one of which produced my half siblings (3 boys)and he didn’t have a lot of contact with them he regretted that a lot but he wasn’t around much at home for myself either so when I had a child he was there a lot and in her life very much;Marina was the light of her papas eyes I think both of my parents wanted do-overs and seen marina as a chance to make up for the past. I think everyone has regrets; but for the most part he was a jokester and always tried to be happy his favorite saying was “ let it go” and that was long before frozen movie lol he loved car races and to go to the races nascar and landcaster speedway he loved playing poker at the casinos and weekly card games with his siblings. He enjoyed that very much!
