Joseph Richard Kosack was born on March 13, 1918 in Massachusetts, United States.
He married Clarie Gail Lynch (1920-2001) on October 11, 1938 in South Hadley, Massachusetts. They had one daughter together before divorcing on January 7, 1969.
Joseph then married Dorothy Irene St Germain on March 15, 1969 in St Johnsbury, Caledonia, Vermont, USA.
Joseph Edward Kosack III was born July 26, 1922, in Philadelphia, PA to parents Joseph Edward Kosack (1898-1955) and Anne (Sheain) Kosack (1898-1983). He had a sister, Marie Katherine Kosack Barrett (1920–1993).
He was a graduate of Vincennes University and also attended Millikin University. Joseph enlisted on October 9, 1942 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and served in the U.S. Air Force and was a World War II veteran.
Joe married Betty Naomi Diel (1926-2018) on November 30, 1946, at First United Methodist Church in Olney after meeting her at a George Field dance, and she remained the love of his life. They had children together including Joseph Richard Kosack (1949-2013) and Cary Craig Kosack (1954-2020).
He was retired from WVLN radio station in Olney, where he was well known for 26 years as announcer and program director. Joe won many awards over the years and he had a great voice that became familiar in community households.
He belonged to the Olney Lions Club and the Boy Scouts, where he served as Scoutmaster in the only troop in the country for handicapped scouts. He loved music and singing and enjoyed singing solo songs at his church for many occasions. When there was a city production to be put on, he was always one of the first to volunteer.
