Paul Leo Carew was the son of Michael Francis Carew and Hanna Boyle. He had siblings Alfred Carew (1889-1956), Mary Grace Carey (1894-1974), Samuel Joseph Carew (1898-1985), and Michael Francis Carew (1901-1979). Paul was born on April 7, 1907 in Witless Bay, Newfoundland and grew up there. He then immigrated to the states arriving in New York, NY on April 3, 1930. He then resided in Dorchester, Massachusetts and Boston, MA. He became a naturalized citizen on November 21, 1939 in New York. He married Mary Bridget Norris (1908-2003) and they had a daughter named Mary Therese Carew (1949-). They resided in Boston, MA where he worked as a fisherman. Paul Carew passed away on June 6, 1962 in Massachusetts.
