Dr. Theophilus J. Holder was born on 12 November 1845 in Breckinridge, Kentucky, USA. He served in the military in April 1861 in Sumner, Tennessee, USA. Company I, 2nd Tennessee Infantry
This company was recruited at Hartsville Co., TN then Sumner now Trousdale Co., in April 1861. Dr. Theophilius J. Holder - 3rd Sergeant. Wounded and captured at Richmond, Kentucky on August 10, 1862. Exchanged on Nov 29, 1862. Wounded at Chickamauga Co., GA on September 20, 1863. Paroled at Greensboro, NC on April 25, 1865. He died on 16 March 1904 at the age of 58 in Bosque, Texas, USA. Theophilus was buried on 18 March 1904 at Riverside Cemetery in Iredell, Bosque, Texas, USA.8 Parents: James Holder-2370 and Isabella Adkins Fox-2366.
