On a March 17, 2021 episode of the ITV show DNA Journey, it was revealed to Amanda Holden - a British actress - that her ancestor, Thomas Scorobio, had been the manager of the Battersea Dog and Cat home in the 1870s. According to an article about the show "Amanda’s ancestor was revealed to be Thomas Scoborio, who also had connections with the RSPCA, and then went on to Battersea. In 1877 he was appointed Battersea’s first chief executive." The revelation brought Amanda to tears because she has been a ambassador to the home for several years and she didn't know that she had an early family connection to the same place.
