Joined USAF and served 20 years as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal specialist until retirement in Apr 1975. Enrolled at University of Texas, studying Business Statistics, graduating with honors in Aug 1976. Began work the day after graduation with the State of Texas. Ended career as Budget Director of the largest agency in Texas, the Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation. Provided billion dollar funding for 13,000 employees and 12,000 contract employees. Retired July 1995 and moved to Las Vegas January 1996. Married Delores Airhart in Oct 1961 until she died of Alzheimer’s in Feb 2009. Lived with Clarice Katzman for a year. We married in Mar 2012 until cancer took her from me three months later. My present wife, Joyce Yi Dobbing, and I just celebrated our sixth wedding anniversary.
