Winifred (aka Peggy) Thouard (nee Alderson) still retained her married name “Thouard” - logical as she did not divorce JAT until 1938. Valerie was born in 1933 (father not named as yet) five years after separation from and five years before divorce from JAT. She is presently 84 years of age. Jacqueline was eight years old when Valerie was born but we do not know whether Jacqueline was living with Winifred or whether she was institutionalised, fostered, adopted or .......? The father of Valerie not known and probably not Percy Godfrey Brown who Winifred married in 1941. From Karl Divers My mother is Valerie Margaret Thouard and she was born in Melbourne in 1933, to Winifred (known as Peggy) Alderson, and, whilst she did have the Thouard name, he was not her father but I'm not sure of the name of her father (my grandfather). Mum did get a High school scholarship to Presentation College in Windsor Victoria, which would fit the approximate timing of 1946. They lived in Brighton at that time. Peggy definitely remarried and that timing of 1941 looks about right although I'm not sure of his name. I will ask my Mum and see what else I can find out but her memory isn't the best these days. Her sister [actually a half-sister] Jacqueline, was born around 1925 and died around 1986 in Adelaide.
