Amelia Hazeltine (Edwards) Holden was born on August 8, 1861 in Brunswick County, North Carolina United States. She was married to Benjamin Lafayette Holden in 1877, and they were together until death separated them. She had children Thomas Andrew Holden, Rufus Decator Holden, Bertha V. Holden, Grover Preston Holden, Oscar R. Holden, Bennie L. Holden, and Emery Thurston Holden. Amelia Holden died at age 74 years old on December 7, 1935 in Kinston, Lenoir County.
