    Anthony R. Mannetti, Jr. “Beloved Father, Grandfather & Great Grandfather” Mr. Anthony R. Mannetti, Jr., 83, of Waterbury, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014 at St. Mary’s Hospital with his loving family by his side. Anthony was born in Waterbury on June 8, 1931, son of the late Anthony and Josephine (Albero) Mannetti, Sr. He was a graduate of Crosby High School and enlisted into the U.S. Army and served his country honorably during the Korean conflict. He was employed at Cly-Del Manufacturing Company for over 30 years and he also was the owner/broker of Mannetti Properties for 20 years. Anthony coached football, softball and baseball, working with both youth and adults. He coached the Waterbury Midget Football League’s “North End Rams”; Sandy Koufax League’s “Larson’s Angels; Waterbury Softball League’s “Night Owls”; and The Prospect Softball League, among many other teams. He enjoyed not only coaching sports but playing for many teams throughout his life. Watching his children and grandchildren playing sports was one of his greatest joys. He was a member of the Hill Street Social Club, Lakewood Social Club and the Waterbury Sportsmen’s Club and was a volunteer for the Special Olympics. He was the 1992 Waterbury Sportsmen’s Club Hall of Fame recipient. He leaves two sons; Stephen Mannetti and his wife Noreen and Anthony Mannetti III and his wife Lori both of Waterbury, four daughters; Donna Graham and her husband Robert of Thomaston, Linda Nelson and her husband Jerry Ciarlo of Waterbury, Gina Mannetti of Waterbury and Lisa Riggi and her husband Robert of Watertown, one brother; Rudolph Mannetti of Plantsville, eleven grandchildren; Michael, Larissa, Mark, Janet, Christina, Anthony, Robert, Eric, Robert, Charles and Nina, two great grandchildren; Gianna & Ryan. He was predeceased by two sisters; Edith Zarrella and Gloria Armbrust. Arrangements: A Military Funeral will be held Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury to SS. Peter & Paul Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow with full military honors at All Saints Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made in Anthony’s name to: The Waterbury Sportsmen’s Club P.O.
