    WATERBURY – Mrs. Eda R. (Mannetti) (Screen) Zarrella, 91, formerly of 31 Nottingham Terrace, died Friday, Aug. 7, 2009, at the Torrington Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was the widow of Salvatore Ralph Zarrella. Mrs. Zarrella was born in Waterbury on Sept. 17, 1917, daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine (Albero) Mannetti Sr. She was employed at Robertshaw Lux Time where she was also shop steward until her retirement in 1979. She volunteered at Waterbury Hospital and at The Connecticut Store in downtown Waterbury. Eda was an avid bingo player and she loved to crochet, knit and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was also president of the Widow and Widowers Association. She leaves her daughter, Diane Clement and her husband, Glenn, of Torrington; her son, Richard Screen and his wife, Judith, of Thomaston; her two brothers, Rudolph Mannetti and his wife, Lil, of Plantsville and Anthony Mannetti Jr. of Waterbury; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. A son and daughter-in-law, Harry Screen and his wife, Sue, and a sister, Gloria Armbrust, are deceased. The family would like to thank the staff at Torrington Health & Rehabilitation Center for their loving and attentive care during her stay. Arrangements: Funeral 9 a.m. Wednesday at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, to St. Lucy’s Church for a Mass at 10 a.m. Burial of her cremains will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Calling hour Wednesday from 8 to 9 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to Torrington Health & Rehabilitation Center, 235 Wyoming St., Torrington 06790.
