Aquila Davis died at age 46 years old on November 30, 1885 in Clifton Hill, City of Yarra County, VIC Australia, and was buried at Melbourne General Cemetery College Cres, in Parkville, Melbourne City County.

In 1838, in the year that Aquila John Davis was born, on January 11th in New Jersey, Samuel Morse and two others first publicly demonstrated Morse's new invention - the telegraph. Patented by Morse in 1837, the electrical telegraph used a code developed by him and his assistant, Samuel Vail, and sent a message two miles. In 1844, Morse broadcast from Washington DC to Baltimore Maryland the message "What hath God wrought" and the telegraph took off.

In 1845, at the age of only 7 years old, Aquila was alive when on March 4th, James K. Polk was inaugurated as the 11th President of the United States. Polk, from Tennessee, beat Henry Clay of Kentucky, 49.5% to 48.1%. Polk served one term.
