Archdale Low Whitby 1826 - 1912

Archdale Low Whitby of England United Kingdom was born on May 3, 1826 at Newington, in Greater London County to Mundee Whitby and Penelope (Collins) Whitby. He married Eleanor (Lewis) Whitby on March 7, 1846 in Bermondsey, Greater London County, and they were married until death separated them. He had children Archie Charles Whitby, Angelina Catherine Whitby, George Whitby, Louisa Florence Lind, Annie Mayhew, and Mabel Penelope Donbavand. Archdale Whitby died at age 86 years old on October 27, 1912 in Mannamead, Plymouth County, and was buried at Highgate Cemetery East, in Greater London County.

In his 87th Year. - Deeply regretted.

In 1826, in the year that Archdale Low Whitby was born, on March 10th, João VI, King of Portugal and the former Emperor of Brazil, died after a short illness. Six days earlier, the King had become ill after eating at the Jerónimos Monastery in Lisbon.
