He also married Mary Ann (Poland) Wright, and they had children Ivy May Clayton (Wright) Dalton, Gilbert Gordon Wright, and Irene Pearl Calvert (Wright) Olsen. Archibald Wright died at age 69 years old on July 4, 1939 in Murrumbeena, Glen Eira City County, VIC Australia, and was buried at Springvale Botanical Cemetery 600 Princes Hwy, in Springvale, Greater Dandenong City County.
