Armand P. Kunde
Armand Pat Kunde, 87, 14100 Kunde Lane, died Thursday in a Reno hospital. Born Feb. 12, 1885, in Stillwater, Minn., he came to Reno in 1938 and operated the River-view Guest Ranch until 1962.
Before coming to Nevada, he spent two years with patrols guarding cattle along the Missouri River, then moved to Fresno, Calif., where he and a brother sold horses.
He worked as an oil well driller in Bakersfield and was operating street cars in San Francisco at the time of the 1906 earthquake.
Surviving are his widow, Celesta Kunde, Reno, sons Armand H. Kunde Jr. and Raymond Kunde of San Jose, Calif., and seven grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Walton Funeral Home with the Rev. F. E. Miller, Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, officiating. Burial will be in the Mountain View Cemetery.
