This article appeared in the Oakland Tribune on April 30th 1909 saying "the coronation of the May Day queen will be an interesting feature of the May Day fete to be held in the Peralta Grammar School grounds..." Margaret Doudell is listed as being one of "the flower girls who will scatter roses in the path of the queen".

From the Los Gatos Times-Saratoga Observer Tuesday March 5th 1957 page 3:

Members of Ancient Order of Hibernians will join a group of young entertainers in presenting a St. Patrick's theme program to Odd Fellows Home residents March 10 at 4 p.m. A. Byre McSweeney, president of San Jose Division 1 of Hibernians, and Mrs. Margaret Dowdall Kunde of Ladies Auxiliary are co-chairmen for this event.

Aiding them are Patrick T. Concannon, William R. Christy, Mrs. Peter Guerin, and Mrs. Edgar Schott. West Valley Hibernians are Mr. and Mrs. Chester Bigelow, Mesdames E. E. Tabscott, Patrick Coffey, Mary Costello, Miss Charlotte O'Neill, and Messrs. Al A. Dempsey, Thomas R. O'Day, Vincent Sheridan, Edward Bean, Louis Della Valle, Thomas Gavin, Michael Leary, John and James Kilkenny, Patrick Peabody, Gerald Graham, Manley McCullough, and Milton Mitchell.

The same program will be presented March 15 at Our Lady of Fatima Villa in Saratoga. Mrs. Kunde will be entertainment chairman for this event. Arrangements will be handled by Mrs. Leo Bernal and Miss Marie Ryan.
