Arthur Line Twyford of Malvern, City of Stonnington County, VIC Australia was born in 1882 in Collingwood, City of Yarra County to William John Twyford and Margaret Bolton Twyford. He had siblings Ethel Maggie (Twyford) Nairn, May Lamberton Twyford, Allan Mark Twyford, William Leonard Twyford, Frederick Henry Twyford, Leonard Bolton Twyford, and Elsie Jane (Twyford) Swan. Arthur Twyford married Miriam Louisa Potter in 1921, and died at age 80 years old in 1962 in Malvern, City of Stonnington County.

In 1882, in the year that Arthur Line Twyford was born, on January 5th, writer and lawyer Charles J. Guiteau was found guilty of the assassination of President Garfield. Guiteau was "offended" because his job applications had been rejected by Garfield's government. He was sentenced to death -although his lawyer plead insanity - and hanged five months later, on June 30th.
