Arthur Vivian Calaby of Camberwell, City of Boroondara County, VIC Australia was born in 1896 in Allendale, Hepburn Shire County to Frederick Walter Calaby and Annie Sophia (Kerr) Calaby. He had siblings Cecil Meredith Calaby, Charles Alan Calaby, Leonard William Calaby, Jessie Sophia Calaby, Sidney Henry Calaby, Ernest Calaby, and Frederick Walter Calaby. Arthur Calaby married Emma Muriel Rickard in 1921, and died at age 85 years old on July 10, 1982 in Camberwell, City of Boroondara County.

Bridget Driscoll, age 44, was walking with her family on the grounds of The Crystal Palace in London when she was hit by a car driven by Arthur James Edsall. Edsall claimed to be going 4.5 mph and Driscoll's death was ruled an "accidental death" after an inquest.
