August Edward Lewis was born on April 18, 1916 in Oldfield, Christian County, Missouri United States. He was married to Nori Odilia Wilson on June 13, 1960 in Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, and they were together until August's death on June 13, 1984 in Pasadena, Harris County. He had children Karen Desiree Paciotti, Neal Edward Lewis, Anna Denise Hutchinson, and Stella Louisa Goodman. August Lewis was buried on June 18, 1984 at Houston National Cemetery 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, in Houston.
