Benjamin Thomas William Gregory of Tarranginnie, VIC Australia was born on April 11, 1883 in Palmer, SA to John Samuel Gregory and Ann Maria Smith Gregory. Benjamin Gregory had a brother John Joseph Richard Samuel Gregory. He married Florence Mabel Smith Gregory Beadle, and they had a child Walter Raymond Gregory. He also married Florence Mabel Smith Gregory Beadle, and they had children William Edwin Gregory, Alfred Arnold John Gregory, Albert Henry Gregory, Annie Florence Jane Gregory, Lionel James Gregory, and Walter Raymond Gregory.
