    The Sunbury News. Victoria. 24th January 1925. UPPER MACEDON. The last of the old identities of Mount Macedon, has passed away at the ripe old age of 86 years, in the person of Mrs. Memory, relict of the late James Memory. The deceased lady had been confined to her bed for the last five years, suffering from an injury to her spine. She was always in the best of spirits, and health, however not withstanding her infirmity. Death took place suddenly on Monday evening, January 12th, 1925. Born in County Clare, Ireland, she came to her uncle in Kilmore. It was there she met her late husband, who predeceased her some 15 years ago. Together they came to Mount Macedon and lived here continuously for 66 years. Her memory was good up to the last, and she was always keen to relate her experiences and the different events that took place in what she termed the " good old days."
