She married Robert Samuel Welshman, and died at age 84 years old on December 7, 1955 in Mooroolbark, Yarra Ranges Shire County, VIC Australia. Catherine Welshman was buried at St Kilda Cemetery in St Kilda East, Port Phillip City County.

Two of the Earp brothers and Doc Holliday were wounded.
