I have two old studio photographs of Charlotte Maria SMITH which were taken at a studio in Newburyport, MA sometime in the 1880's. Charlotte appears to be in her 30's at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Charlotte and her family:
Charlotte Maria SMITH was b. 1 Feb 1849 or 1850 in Newbury, MA to parents David S. SMITH (1818-1890) and Maria Louisa GEORGE (1819-1879) who were married in Mar 1845 in Newburyport, MA. Charlotte was one of 5 children born to this couple including Wallace; Charlotte Maria or Marie; Annie F.; Charles T. Fremont; and Martha B. SMITH, all born between 1849 or 1850 and 1861. Charlotte’s father was married previously and had a son Ebenezer SMITH (1840-1913). Charlotte died in 1938 in Massachusetts and is buried in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Newburyport, MA.
I would like to get these photographs to a family member and would appreciate you contacting me regarding the photographs and this family if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.
Thanks,
Shelley
