  • Introduction

    Cora was a younger sister to my grandfather Henry Louis Brown. Their parents were William Thomas ("Bill Duck) Brown and wife, Mary Margaret ("Maggie") Walters. The family resided at Beech Springs community in Neshoba Co. MS. Her father is buried in the Beech Springs Memorial Cemetery. Her mother is in the High Hill Baptist Church Cemetery (Neshoba Co.). Her siblings were: Henry Louis (born 1896), (Cora born in 1897), Avie R. (Born/Died 1900), Elvie (Born 1901), Elmer (born 1903), Ruby (born 1905), Ollie Clarence (known as "Jimmie", born 1907), Oscar (born 1910; died 1925 - brain hemorrage), William Thomas ("W.T.") (born 1912). Avie died on the 15th day after her birth. Her grave is in the Erin Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery (Erin, Newton Co., MS).
