    Doyle Edward Carter Jr, 71, of Cowpens passed away Sunday, August 28, 2022 at his home. He was the husband of Tracy Johnson Carter, and the son of the late Doyle Edward Carter, Sr. and Alice Mae Sizemore Carter. Mr. Carter was a truck driver most of his life, transporting for multiple companies. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. In addition to his wife, Mr. Carter is survived by two daughters, Michelle Carter and her fiance, Austin Robinson, and Crystal Parker and her husband TJ; three sons, Matthew Carter and his wife Daisy, Bryan Carter and his wife Brooke, and Jeremie Carter; nineteen grandchildren, Tristan and Nicholas Hood, Christopher and Riley Fuller, Timmy and Emma Parker, Kayla Jay Nelson, Kayla and Haley Blake, Makayla and Bryson Johnson, David, Madeline, Mylo, and Maree Carter , Karissa, Jessi, Zander, and Conner Carter; and a daughter-in-law, Jamie Lindsey Carter; as well as two great grandchildren, Ashlyn Powers and baby boy Gentry. In addition to his parents, he is pre-deceased by one daughter, Ashley Johnson; one son, Daniel Buster Nelson; a son-in-law, David Trent Blake; and one grandchild, Bryan Carter, Jr. Visitation will be held 12:00 noon until 2:00PM, Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Eggers Funeral Home in Chesnee. Graveside service will follow at 3:00PM at Pacolet Memorial Gardens. Eggers Funeral Home – Chesnee
