Edith Caroline (Pettifer) Yewdall of Whro Australia was born in 1885 in Whro to Maria Ann (Leroy) Pettifer and James Martin Pettifer. She had siblings Thomas Joseph Pettifer, Caroline "Carrie" Pettifer, Elsie Emma Pettifer, May Evelyn Pettifer, James Alfred Pettifer, and John "Jack" William Pettifer. She married Frank Mapperley Yewdall in 1916, and had a child Alma Elizabeth Yewdall. Edith Yewdall died at age 86 years old on December 11, 1972 in Murrumbeena, City of Glen Eira County, VIC, and was buried on December 13, 1972 at Springvale Botanical Cemetery.
