James Alfred Pettifer 1897 - 1982

James Alfred Pettifer of Footscray, City of Maribyrnong County, VIC Australia was born on December 2, 1897 in Whroo to Maria Ann (Leroy) Pettifer and James Martin Pettifer. He had siblings Thomas Joseph Pettifer, Caroline "Carrie" Pettifer, Edith Caroline (Pettifer) Yewdall, Elsie Emma Pettifer, May Evelyn Pettifer, and John "Jack" William Pettifer. He married Bessie (Humphry) Pettifer in 1924, and had children Ronald James Pettifer, Betty Edith Pettifer, and Jack Pettifer. James Pettifer died at age 84 years old on February 28, 1982 at Western General Hospital, in Footscray, and was buried at Altona Memorial Park 2-14 Dohertys Rd, in Altona North, City of Hobsons Bay County.
