Thomas Joseph Pettifer of Canberra, ACT Australia was born on June 25, 1885 in Whroo, VIC to Maria Ann (Leroy) Pettifer and James Martin Pettifer. He had siblings Caroline "Carrie" Pettifer, Edith Caroline (Pettifer) Yewdall, Elsie Emma Pettifer, May Evelyn Pettifer, James Alfred Pettifer, and John "Jack" William Pettifer. He married Annie (Darroch) Pettifer in 1914, and had children Jean Lorraine (Pettifer) Withers and John Athol Pettifer. Thomas Pettifer died at age 84 years old on September 3, 1969 in Canberra, ACT.
