He was married to Sarah Hickey Harrap in 1886, and had children William Harrap, Mary Ann Harrap, James Richard Harrap, Adelaide Madeline Harrap, Nellie Elizabeth Harrap, Ernest David Harrap, Emily May Harrap, Wilford Patrick Harrap, Caroline Margaret Harrap, and Mabel Lillian Sarah Harrap. Edward Harrap died at age 63 years old on February 10, 1922.
