Ethel Mary (Hill) Colwell was born in 1890 in Iowa United States to Thomas James Hill and Mary Elizabeth Huxtable, and had siblings William Edward Hill, Mabel Hill, Bessie Grace Hill, Lester Hill, Thomas Hill, and Floyd James Hill. Ethel Colwell married Hugh Colwell, and died at age 78 years old on September 20, 1969 in Algona, Kossuth County.
