William Edward Hill of Australia was born on December 18, 1894 in Iowa United States to Thomas James Hill and Mary Elizabeth Huxtable. He had siblings Mabel Hill, Ethel Mary Hill, Bessie Grace Hill, Lester Hill, Thomas Hill, and Floyd James Hill. He married Ida Turner Mcclelland, and died at age 22 years old on October 9, 1917. William Hill was buried at Ypres (menin Gate) Memorial Panel 6 And 8. in Belgium.
