Euphemia Emma (Lloyd) Matthews of Newtown, Greater Geelong City County, VIC Australia was born in 1885 in Ceres to Alfred Lloyd and Euphemia Cameron Lloyd. She had siblings Lilly Jane Lloyd, Emily Ada Lloyd Douglas, Margaret Lloyd Matthews, Maud May Lloyd, Alice Elsie (Lloyd) Whytcross, Annie Louisa Lloyd, Charles Alexander Lloyd, Minnie Olive Lloyd, John Frederick Lloyd, and Alfred Lloyd. She married Walter Matthews in 1912, and had children Anne Elizabeth Matthews, Horace Theodore Matthews, and Kenneth Walter Matthews. Euphemia Matthews died at age 88 years old on July 22, 1974 in Newtown.
