Euphemia Lydia (Gregory) Oakes of Bald Hill Australia was born on May 12, 1858 at Bald Hill Farm in Aitken's Gap, Sunbury County, Victoria to Robert Lindsay Milligan Gregory and Mary Biddulph Euphimia (Grose) Gregory. She had siblings John Grose Gregory, Nicholas Gordon Gregory, Blanche Madeline (Gregory) Crowe, Laura Lindsay Milligan Gregory, Theophilus Augustus Gregory, Eliza Sarah Gregory, Maria Augusta (Gregory) Hoffman, Robert Scott Gregory, and Mary Grose (Gregory) Trevan. She married Ernest Hassall Oakes, and had children Blanche Laurette Oakes, Marie Euphemia Shelley Oakes, and Hope Louisa Gregory Oakes. Euphemia Oakes died at age 90 years old on April 30, 1949 in Albury, City of Albury County, NSW.
